Dan the evil guy, who likes Google. (who try to do no evil) came up with an image of who is getting there arse’s kicked by the pod cast [see here] now at the moment I am in no danger of loosing to it, but i have remembered just how long ago my last post was, as such its time to fill in.

Since the 14th November I have not put fingers to keyboard once, towards putting information(?) in my blog!

so in the news.

1. New Job! – since the 28th of November, I have been working as an Assistant Engineer with a company called Kembrey Wiring Systems Ltd. There main product is boxes filled with wires, and connectors to go on British Aircraft, the job is not too bad, but can be a little slow, and monotonous at times.
2. Loupie’s Panto, Ruth was in a rendition of The Little Mermaid over Christmas, (you may have been told about it) and i took some of the photos that have since appeared on the Woodhouse Players site
3. Ruth and I pent Christmas and New year together, (your not having all the details :p).

Some of you who read parts of my Blog (and/or know me in real life) may know I like Technology, Big Toys, and Landscapes; Well imagine combining them all.

On my Birthday Ian, Manda, Dave and I were up in the Canadian City of Niagara, watching the falls, (from both the land and from a Boat). since we were only there for one day we thought we really should stay there till after dark and watch the falls being lit up.

as we were eating in a local eatery place, a group of people were gathered marking the campaign to stop domestic violence, and as part of there publicity, they turned the falls a Purple colour.

One of the guys we spoke to said that we could have a go at playing with the lights if we went up to the door on the back of the little tower beside the restrant, so up we went, Manda got nominated for the job of bouncing at the person who opened the door,

After being let in and shown the control panel and given a basic run down of how to change the lights we were left with 21 4kW discharge bulbs (each is 390 million candle power)

Unfortunately changing the waterfalls to Red, White and Blue strips proved to be too much of a challenge (Union Flag Colours).

Hopefull Ian will put some photos up and i will be able to link to them.

This is an example of cold chocolate drinks, in a restraunt called "Max Brenner’s Chocolate Bar"

Max Brenner’s menu was predominately composed of well sweet things, (they did have savoury starters).

Ruth has a friend by the name of Christina, who says the best part of a meal is the desert (I know that its out of context.. but) I think she would like this place.

While in New York, we carried out some of the touristy things, that people do (beyond trying to blog from an iPhone in the Apple store) we went up the Empire state building, (and the associated Sky Ride), a walk round Central Park, a trip to Stanton Island, and Ian and I also made the visit to the Museum of Sex.

A few Bot-Crossing Bots have been let loose into the wilds of the Big Apple, If you have heard of BookCrossing its a simaler idea to that, but it is more of a momorial thing, for details i recomend going to this page on the main Bot Crossing Site.

I have some images on my laptop, and others that i would like to put together as panoramas, so if i get some time with an active real time conection (as apposed to offline writing) i shall upload them. who knows i may also try out using Windows Live Writer to post images.
