Warwick Castle Mill and Hydroelectricity

On Boxing day, Tamarisk, MiniBoyGeek, and Granny went for a look round Warwick Castle, We also saw the Mill and Hydroelectricity plant on the river Avon

Originally this area housed the single Vortex Water Turbine, it was designed by James Thompson, and manufactured by Gilkes. The majority of the turbine was removed and scraped. however the main bearing in the riverbed and the shaft remain.
